Sea Pac Engineering Inc. awarded $34.33M for dorm repairs
Accommodation has been a priority at Andersen since a senior U.S. military official saw conditions in the dormitories at the Air Force base to Guam’s north.
Attention was drawn to the condition of the barracks after a report in May by the Project on Government Oversight which said that Navy Secretary John Phelan was appalled at the condition of the accommodation.

Now Sea Pac Engineering Inc. of Los Angeles has been awarded a $34. 33 million “firm-fixed-price contract” for the design and repair of the Rota dormitory, also known as Building B25017.
Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 7, 2028. The contract was a competitive acquisition, and five offers were received, according to an Aug. 26 release CHamoru Standard Time from the U.S. Department of Defense. The 36th Contracting Squadron at Andersen made the award.
Some opportunities arrive only once, asking little more than a willingness to serve. My brief appointment as President of Guam Community College was one of those opportunities. Although my tenure lasted only three weeks, I accepted the responsibility with the same commitment I have brought to every leadership role throughout my career. The A.B. Won Pat International Airport board of directors ratified a grant to perform building upgrades, approved funding for a bond defeasance transaction, and awarded landscaping and management services during a board meeting on Aug. 6.
The 13th annual Pink Ball will be held on Aug. 8 at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort. Proceeds will benefit Guam Cancer Care and the Edward M. Calvo Cancer Foundation.
