
He is currently the civil engineering principal and department manager for the two locations and has been with Coffman in various management roles since 2020.
Previously, Unten was project manager for Austin, Tsutsumi & Associates Inc. for a number of years.
He holds a 2001 bachelors of arts in physical sciences from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and a 2004 bachelors of science in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Unten’s licenses and certifications include 2009 certification as a professional engineer in Hawaii and a 2009 certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

He formerly was general manager of Emerald Pacific Group, which does business as Enterprise, National and Alamo car rentals. Previously Paulino was asset manager at Guam Pak Express.
Paulino began his career as a management trainee with First Hawaiian Bank in 1996 and rose to the position of service manager. Paulino also spent time in the real estate industry.
He holds a 1996 bachelors in finance and economics from the University of Guam and a 2014 management certification from JMU College of Business in Harrisonburg, Va.

Sakuma was formerly interim deputy director and conservation policy director for TNC’s Micronesia & Polynesia Chapter. Prior to joining TNC,
Sakuma served in senior leadership roles in Palau, including as press secretary and special assistant to President Tommy E. Remengesau Jr. He later served as executive director of the Palau National Marine Sanctuary from 2015 to 2018. Sakuma has also served as chairman of the boards of the Belau Submarine Cable Corp. and the Palau International Coral Reef Center.

He previously was general manager of Gosolar Guam, which has common ownership with Cars Plus Guam, and formerly was previously senior client service manager for Netcare and Aetna and prior to that vice president of AXS Insurance. Arriola’s career appointments include general manager of PacAir Properties LLC, Pacsports and PacAir Ltd.
Arriola is a member of the board of trustees of Guam Community College and former chairman of the board of trustees.
The Office of Shawn N. Anderson, U.S. Attorney for the Districts of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, announced that Special Agent Richard J. Bauer has been awarded the inaugural Hometown Hero Award sponsored by the Department of Justice in honor of America’s 250th Birthday.

Bauer also volunteers as a coach in youth wrestling, soccer, and baseball in the NMI, including for national teams that compete throughout the Pacific region. He is also the vice president of the Northern Marianas Wrestling Federation.
Palau was included in a list of the top six diving places in the world by the Economic Times of India. Palau made the list “for its mix of reefs, shipwrecks, drift dives, and spawning events. The Pacific island nation offers both resort-based diving and liveaboard experiences suitable for beginners and experienced divers.”

The Asia Pacific Group of Raymond James in Guam, was among the Raymond James-affiliated advisors named to the 2026 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams list. The ranking, developed by SHOOK Research recognized the team as the No. 1 wealth management team in U.S. territories. This marks the first time Asia Pacific Group of Raymond James has been considered for this national ranking.

The Guam Contractors Association has named its 2026 to 2027 board of directors.

Feng Li was named overall top finisher of the Atkins Kroll BMW golf tournament in Guam, earning the highest Single Callaway score of the tournament. As the overall winner, Li secured an all-expense-paid trip to represent Guam at the BMW Golf Cup World Final, with the international host location to be announced later this year.

GTA unveiled two new murals in Yoña, located near Windward Hills and Baza Gardens, as part of its ongoing Village Mural Project initiative to add murals to all 19 villages across Guam. The murals were created by local artist Frank Candaso.
