    Who you gonna call?

The Marshall Islands Towing and Salvage Co., a subsidiary of Pacific International Inc., deployed its tug LT-804 on Jan. 22 to assist the container ship Maersk Saltoro, which was adrift approximately 550 miles west of Pohnpei due to main engine issues while en route to China. Before rendering assistance, LT-804 stopped in Kosrae to pick up four technicians. The Maersk Saltoro, was reportedly carrying more than 9,000 containers, including 1,300 containers of Chilean cherries bound for China for Chinese New Year.  The vessel was successfully assisted, according to PII. The vessel released the tug and resumed its voyage. Photo of Tug LT-804 courtesy of Pacific International Inc.
