The Palau Public Utilities Corp., with the help of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, are installing power poles in Babeldaob as part of the $20 million plus JICA Power Grid Upgrade Project. Work started in 2023 and is expected to completed by 2025. The objectives of the project are to contribute to improving power service to residents and support reduction of greenhouse gases. Pacific Islands to receive funding and more ADB presence

The United States and Australia announced on Sept. 2 at the Pacific Island Forum that each country will donate funding for the Pacific Islands, for a total of $580 million.

More Palau Qantas flights; improved NMI tourism sites

Qantas will double its direct service between Brisbane and Koror to two return flights a week during the peak season, after signing a new agreement to continue operating the Palau Paradise Express.
