Saipan company offers IVF for China market

A company “nestled in the heart of Saipan, USA” is offering a variety of services in the in vitro fertilization field, marketing its services to those looking to become parents.

On March 5, the company announced the launch of exclusive VIP services for Chinese clients. “This strategic initiative highlights Saipan IVF’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Chinese market and offering more convenient and personalized medical services to Chinese clients,” a release said.

The announcement is according to need, the release said, so that “eligible Chinese women from the Mainland now have new possibilities, such as purchasing donor sperm legally under the protection and support of U.S. law to create healthy new lives.”

“We provide personalized, compassionate care to make your fertility journey as smooth and successful as possible,” Saipan IVF says on its Facebook page, also referring to itself as the Saipan Reproductive Center USA.

Dr. Gary Ramsey, medical director at Saipan IVF; has been medical director of the Pacific Fertility Institute Inc. since August 2013, according to his LinkedIn site.

Ramsey was an OB/GYN at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. from April 1999 to September 2012.

The center is “fully compliant with the stringent standards set by the United States Food and Drug Administration” it says on its website, which also lists all team members.

Specific services offered include egg freezing, embryo sex selection, egg and sperm bank services, and embryo transfer for legal surrogates as well as embryo transport and egg collection. The company also offers ovarian reserves testing, which indicates egg supply, and services for LGBTQ+ clients.

Saipan IVF is in Garapan, located in the same building as the Garapan branch of the Bank of Guam.

And Saipan IVF is also looking for egg and sperm donors.

The Saipan IVF site also promotes the island’s easy flight access and visa-free entry from China, and Saipan’s tourist attractions.

Just how long access to the NMI will continue to be easy remains to be seen.

Rather than the current automatic entry, the CNMI Economic Vitality & Security Travel Authorization Program - which would guarantee Chinese citizens access to the NMI after the screening of visitors prior to their departure from China - saw an interim ruling approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in January.

Additional flights to Saipan will begin in March on Hong Kong Airlines, offering Chinese visitors another route to the island. mbj
