The Department of Public Health & Social Services Division of Environmental Health conducted 26 sanitation inspections throughout September.
All inspected childcare centers received an ‘A’ following regular inspections with Chrysalis Childcare 2 and Learn, Explore, and Play Child Development both located in Dededo receiving zero demerits. Tamuning Elementary School passed inspections with an ‘A.’ St. Paul Christian School in Dededo ceased operations due to not possessing a valid sanitary permit as of Sept. 23.
Public Swimming Pools inspected included Bayview Hotel passing with an ‘A’ and Hotel Tano ceasing pool operations due to having no certified pool operator on site.
In food establishments, GMHA Dietetic Services in Tamuning received an ‘A’ with zero demerits. New LA Tofu & Galbi had its sanitary permit suspended on Sept. 4 and reinstated during a follow-up inspection on Sept. 14 after receiving zero demerits.
Golden Sea Restaurant had its permit suspended, receiving 48 demerits, as of Sept. 28. Don Don Donki Delicatessen sanitary permit remains suspended. mbj
