The Marshall Islands Towing and Salvage Co., a subsidiary of Pacific International Inc., deployed its tug LT-804 on Jan. 22 to assist the container ship Maersk Saltoro, which was adrift approximately 550 miles west of Pohnpei due to main engine issues while en route to China. Before rendering assistance, LT-804 stopped in Kosrae to pick up four technicians.
