DZSP 21 LLC was awarded by Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Marianas an $89.1 million cost-plus-award-fee modification, which provides for the exercise of Option Period Three for base operating support services in Joint Region Marianas.
The period of performance is from August 2023 to July 2024. The award brings the total cumulative value of the contract to $66.25 million. Fiscal 2023 operation and maintenance funds are from the Navy, Marine Corps, the Army National Guard, medical facilities, and family housing.
The eight-year contract was re-awarded to DZSP after a protracted process of protests, an award to Fluor, and a protest by DZSP to the U.S. Federal Claims Court, according to Journal files.
In other U.S. military news, the Missile Defense Agency rescheduled open house public scoping meetings to inform the public about the Environmental Impact Statement being prepared for deploying and operating an Enhanced Integrated Air and Missile Defense system in Guam.
The meetings will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa on Aug. 2, at the Micronesia Mall on Aug. 3 and the Hagat Mayor’s Office on Aug. 4.
