The Guam Visitors Bureau’s board Search Committee recommended Régine Biscoe Lee to be the next general manager and EJ Calvo as deputy GM at its Jan. 24 board meeting.

However, the board halted its vote on accepting the two recommendations. Board chairman, George Chiu, and vice chairman, Joaquin Cook, raised concerns about discussing personnel matters during the open meeting and consulted with GVB legal council on the matter. Chiu requested that the committee provide all the information regarding its search to the legal council which would then be released to the board so that it may review all of the applicants who applied.
The board recessed its meeting to Jan. 29 where it is scheduled to make its final review and decision.
