The movement of Marines to Guam is not linked to progress on the Futenma Replacement Facility. The plan of record is in full execution and on track to support our agreements with the Government of Japan. This plan helps achieve a force posture that is geographically distributed, operationally resilient and politically sustainable. Per U.S. and Government of Japan statements, the Marine Corps is committed to commencing the relocation of the force by the end of the first half of the 2020s.
