A low-cost carrier in Japan, Skymark Airlines, is keen on replacing the service of Delta Airlines in Palau, according to Minister of Public Infrastructure, Industries and Commerce Charles Obichang, although an agreement has yet to be signed as of June 20.
Obichang said a team from Skymark was in Palau in May to conduct an assessment of the route from Japan to Palau.
Obichang said the government is supportive of Skymark’s venture and will offer its help any way it can to facilitate the endeavor.
