Eye on the ball: Local contractors watch lucrative military contract

  The Guam military bases housing operations and maintenance contract presently held by Wolf Creek Federal Services Inc. will expire on Oct. 31.

  Wolf Creek — a subsidiary of Chugach Alaska Corp., was awarded the contract in 2014. Chugach World Services Inc., itself a subsidiary of Chugach Alaska Corp., was awarded the contract in 2009. Prior to that it was held by the GFS Group.

  The eight bidders in 2009 included a number of local companies; among those were Advance Management Inc., GFS Group and Agbayani Construction, according to Journal files.
