Congressional subcommittee markup includes Guam land and ship repair provisions
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The House Armed Services Committee Readiness Subcommittee’s fiscal 2019 markup includes provisions for returning Guam land and for the U.S. Navy to utilize Guam’s ship repair facility, according to an April 27 release form the office of Madeleine Z. Bordallo, Guam’s delegate to Congress.
The Guam land return provision would require the Navy to maintain a publicly accessible inventory of real property on Guam that the Navy expects to be transferred to the government . . .
