KOROR, Palau — Palau President Tommy E. Remengesau Jr. on April 17 signed a bill into law creating a regulatory body over Palau’s energy sector, which will support the island nation’s commitment to meeting its Nationally Determined Contribution of 45% renewable energy by 2025.
The new law authorizes the Palau Energy Administration regulatory authority concerning power production, such as renewables and creates an energy regulator to set up the approval process for Independent
