MAJURO, Marshall Islands — Pacific International Inc. is poised to establish the largest private sector fisheries support operation in the Marshall Islands following Environmental Protection Authority approval of its plan to fill a large portion of an ocean side reef area across from its lagoon side industrial site and dock facility.
“The aim is to develop a one-stop fisheries support facility,” said PII CEO Joseph “Jerry” Kramer. The commercial tuna fishery is the big industry in this region, and the Marshall Islands needs to do more to attract and maintain . . .
