NMI grants team secures funding for breadfruit farm, solar power

A breadfruit farm, solar photovoltaic farm and recycling redemption center are some of the numerous projects Saipan residents can expect through recent federal grant awards.

For the past two years, the Northern Mariana Islands Office of the Governor’s grants team of seven has been working to apply and secure funding for new investments that will enhance the islands. Epiphanio E. Cabrera Jr., administrator of the Offices of Grants Management and State Clearinghouse, said the team has achieved various successes.
