KOROR, Palau — Palau is seeing construction throughout the island nation amounting to more than $130 million, according to Capital Improvement Projects and Public Works Director Brian Melairei.
In a Feb. 6 press conference, Melairei said Palau is dotted with infrastructure projects from new roads in the states, the construction of a new landfill and prison and public parks among others.
“Palau is now in the midst of a construction boom,” he said.
Construction has become one of the leading industries in Palau after tourism.
