A locally owned and operated shipping line will soon be plying the waters of the Mariana Islands.
The routes will offer the ship’s owner the opportunity to expand, take advantage of future opportunities and offer other businesses competitively-priced shipment and transshipment.
Derek Muna Quinata purchased the U.S.-flagged MV Mariana in October 2017. The former MV Luta will do business through Micronesia International Transportation Services, a sister company to Monster Auto, which does business as Guam AutoSpot — of which Quinata is president.
