GRRP president scheduled for two trials in Hawaii

Wagdy A. Guirguis, president of Guam Resource Recovery Partners and owner of several engineering businesses, is scheduled to go on two separate trials in the District Court of Hawaii, relative to an indictment on tax crimes in Hawaii and a lawsuit on a waste management project on Guam.

Guirguis, along with certified public accountant Michael H. Higa, was indicted on Aug. 31 with allegedly hiding Guirguis’ income from his engineering business, GMP Associates Inc. and other GMP entities, including one based on Guam. The indictment claims Higa served as Guirguis’ tax preparer . . .
