ASAN, Guam — Sailors and Marines from the amphibious assault ship USS America and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit were in Guam from Jan. 8 through Jan. 11 for a port call according to a Jan. 8 release from Joint Region Marianas. During the port call, sailors and Marines took part in three community service projects at Oceanview Middle School, Catholic Social Service adult daycare and Piti, where they assisted the mayor’s office with a coastal cleanup and interacted with senior citizens.
