NMI government seeks to resolve CW issue

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Northern Mariana Island delegate to Congress Gregorio “Kilili” Camacho Sablan sent a letter asking Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen to raise the CW cap to 12,997 for fiscal 2018 and 12,996 for fiscal 2019, according to a Jan. 10 release.

  NMI Gov. Ralph DLG. Torres announced in a Jan. 16 release that he and other members of a congressional working group led by Sen. Lisa A. Murkowski are close to completing legislation that extends the CW program and increases the resources available to develop the U.S. workforce in the NMI. Gov. Torres . . .
