DPHSS cracks down on public health violations

MANGILAO, Guam — The Department of Public Health and Social Services has closed a number of business establishments after a string of inspections starting in late December.

  The Hills Lounge at Verona Resort & Spa and Old Town Chinese Restaurant in Tumon were closed after inspections on Dec. 20 and Jan. 4, respectively. Both restaurants have requested follow up inspections from DPHSS, although the department says they are awaiting satisfactory pest control reports from both businesses before they will conduct a follow up inspection.

  The Harmon location of 7 Day Supermarket was closed after a Jan. 2 inspection found . . .
