OPA granted affiliate membership to audit organization

HAGÅTÑA, Guam — The Guam Office of Public Accountability was granted affiliate membership in the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions during a November meeting in Graz, Austria. Affiliate membership allows OPA to participate in the organization’s events and programs and to utilize its resources but does not confer voting privileges. The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions is a non-government, non-political and independent organization for the external government audit community that is headquartered in Graz and was founded in 1953. It holds special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations . . .
