ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam — Air Force reservists from the 44th Aerial Port Squadron worked alongside the civilians on Dec. 9 filling boxes with items such as rice, fish hooks, educational materials, clothing and toys as part of Operation Christmas Drop. An Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft dropped the boxes to 56 islands in Micronesia the same way troops receive supplies during combat operations, continuing the longest-running humanitarian airlift operation in U.S. Department of Defense history.  . . .
