In another development involving U.S. Department of the Interior, Guam is receiving almost half of the 2018 Compact Impact funding from the U.S. Congress, which is managed by DOI.
Douglas W. Domenech, assistant secretary at DOI, announced in mid-December that Guam’s 2018 share of Compact Impact funding, $14.9 million, is being provided to the government of Guam for costs associated with providing education, public health and public safety services related to the presence of citizens of the freely associated states.
