Archbishop removes charitable works and programs from Kamalen Karidat

Hagåtña, Guam — Archbishop Michael Byrnes removed charitable works and programs from Kamalen Karidat and placed them under direct supervision of the Chancery, citing serious concerns regarding accounting and management of funds at Kamalen Karidat. Director of Guam Revenue and Taxation John P. Camacho, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from Concerned Catholics of Guam, told the organization that Kamalen Karidat had not filed an IRS Form 990 — which reports on a tax-exempt organization’s operations and finances — since its founding in 1994 . . .
