While Guam has always relied heavily on the importation of goods and produce from abroad, Jamie Allen saw an alternative method of farming, which led to the creation of Paradise Produce.
Tucked away in the northern part of the island, Allen runs a hydroponic farm that successfully produces lettuce for several local businesses on island, including Wendy’s and the Outrigger hotel. While the farm currently only produces lettuce, Allen believes that hydroponic farming is an important farming alternative for the island.
