Bordallo urges Narita pre-clearance with Japanese ambassador

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Madeleine Z. Bordallo, Guam’s delegate to Congress, met with Japanese ambassador Kenichiro Sasae, according to a Nov. 16 press release. Bordallo and Sasae discussed establishing a U.S. Customs and Border Protection air pre-clearance operation at the Narita International Airport. Pre-clearance would expedite the visitor arrival process for passengers entering the United States (see “Japan airports and United support proposed Japan-Guam pre-clearance procedures” on page 13).
