TINIAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT — Congress has authorized an additional $12.9 million for the Air Force divert airfield on Tinian, according to a Nov. 12 release from the office of the Northern Mariana Islands Congressman Gregorio “Kilili” Camacho Sablan. Combined with $9 million previously authorized by Congress as part of the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act, this brings the total funds available for the divert airfield to $21.9 million . . .
