The International Labour Organization and the Pacific Community signed a Memorandum of Understanding to improve Pacific labour market information systems and labour statistics, according to an Oct. 9 release.
“We’re really excited for the opportunity to formalize our relationship with ILO,” Michael Sharp, economic advisor in the statistics for development division at SPC, told the Journal. “We’ve had a long-standing relationship [with ILO] and this really formalizes the collaboration in the delivery of statistical services to the region.”
