GARAPAN, Saipan — The Northern Mariana Islands Business Alliance Corp. has hired a lobbying firm — Turnberry Consultants — to promote the cause of the NMI.

The firm will support alliance efforts to better the NMI’s foreign labor situation.

Those efforts target the act that originally created federal control of the number of foreign workers that enter the NMI and which mandates that those foreign labor provisions would cease at the end of 2019.
