GARAPAN, Saipan — Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC, which does business as Best Sunshine, released a statement on its effects on the Northern Mariana Islands economy on Nov. 3. According to the statement, 1,800 workers have been hired and recruitment efforts remain ongoing. Payroll withholding taxes have yielded $8 million in additional revenue at the end of the second quarter of this year, with a total of $700 million in combined investments — $500 million in construction — and taxes and fees — over $200 million — added to the economy.
