Decrease in health insurance premiums for NMI government employees and retirees

CAPITOL HILL, Saipan — The Northern Mariana Islands government employees and retirees will be able to pay lower health insurance premiums during open enrollment, according to a Nov. 8 release issued by the Office of the Governor. According to Secretary of Finance Larrisa Larson, there has been a 6% decrease in both employee and retiree share since the government began providing coverage through Aetna. Open enrollment will last from Nov. 20 to Dec. 20. Enrollment and change requests must be submitted no later than Dec. 20.  . . .
