Government hotel takes on new job — at a distance

MAJURO, Marshall Islands — The government-owned Marshall Islands Resort in Majuro signed a two-year contract in mid-October with the Marshall Islands Development Bank to run the Ebeye Hotel. Aside from a few small guestrooms on Ebeye Island, the Ebeye Hotel is the only hotel accommodation on the island that is in the second urban center in the Marshalls, located three miles from the U.S. Army-run Reagan Test Site base.
