Walmart team checks tuna options in Majuro

MAJURO, Marshall Islands — A team from the U.S. mega-corporation Walmart spent nearly a week in Majuro touring fish processing facilities and commercial fishing vessels, and meeting with government fisheries officials.

“They are looking at the supply chain and sourcing fish,” said Glen Joseph, Marshall Islands Marine Resources Authority director, who met with the five-person team before they departed to the U.S. on Oct. 2.
