Saipan Shipping settles in expired and late goods suit

Saipan Shipping Co., Rota’s Kit & Rit Inc. and Francisco Atalig, sole proprietor of Sinapolo Safeway, have settled in a dispute involving late and damaged goods shipped to Rota. 

On Aug. 30, 2016, Kin & Rit Inc. and Atalig, sued Saipan Shipping Company Inc. for goods that were shipped late or damaged. In a complaint filed with the District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands, the companies allege there were several instances in 2014 and 2015 in which goods were delivered 90 days after they were transferred to Saipan Shipping Co., and the goods had either expired due . . .
