Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC, which does business as Best Sunshine International and Imperial Pacific International Holdings Ltd., is being sued by one of its employees for discrimination based on race and national origin and violating the Equal Pay Act. Rovie Anne Chopitea, a Filipino citizen working at the company’s Player’s Club, alleges in a complaint filed with the District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands on Oct. 4 that the company did not pay her as much as U.S. citizens of Chinese descent that held the same position.
