CHICAGO, Ill - United Airlines will introduce a list of cuts to regional flights affecting a number of routes, also affecting Guam’s precarious Japan market.
According to an Oct. 6 post on liveandletsfly.com quoting the airline’s president, Scott Kirby:
• Service between Sapporo and Guam will be suspended on Jan. 15;
• Frequencies will be reduced between Guam and Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya and Sendai;
• Some flights between Guam and Narita, Japan will operate a 737 rather than a 777;
• The four times weekly morning flight between Manila and Guam will cease, effective Jan. 7, though daily evening service will remain . . .
