Palau submarine cable project officially plugged in for testing

KOROR, Palau — On Sept. 9, the Palau submarine cable project was officially plugged in for testing after the main cable lay was completed. 

Cable-ship KDDI Pacific Link completed the deployment of the joint box to the sea floor 4,900 meters below.

According to the Belau Submarine Cable Corp., “The final splice represents a huge milestone in the BSCC construction schedule. We now have a completed network linking Guam and Palau. The remaining project milestones are related to testing, training and completion of site works at the Ngeremlengui Cable Landing . . .
