KOROR, Palau — The House of Delegates on Aug. 3 transmitted to the Senate its version of the fiscal 2018 budget, proposing an appropriation of $87.1 million.
This was in contrast to President Tommy E. Remengesau’s version of $86 million submitted to both the House and the Senate in July.
In an interview with the Journal in May, Remengesau reflected on his aims before his second term of his second presidency is up in 2020. He said more benefits should be trickling down to the population.
