SUSUPE, Saipan — Northern Marianas College welcomed 1,168 full-time equivalent students in the Fall 2017 semester as of Aug. 21, which is an increase of more than 6% from the same period last year. The figure is expected to increase since more students register, according to an Aug. 23 release.
Many students who enrolled this semester are government and private sector employees that are part of the Prior Learning Assessment Program, which awards college credit for demonstrable college-level learning obtained outside the traditional classroom setting.
