Q & A – Col. James DeOre

Editor’s Note: Col. James DeOre is the new commander, U.S. Army Garrison, Kwajalein Atoll (USAG-KA). He took over command in early July and will serve for a two-year term.

Prior to taking up the Kwajalein command, DeOre was most recently the Army Protection Division Chief located at the Pentagon. Throughout his over 20-year Army career, DeOre has made five deployments to Afghanistan, three to the Balkans, two to Iraq and one to Egypt.

DeOre’s wife, Debbie, accompanied him to Kwajalein.

USAG-KA encompasses the Reagan Test Site, an important missile and anti-missile defense . . .
