GARAPAN, Saipan — Regulations that will govern the Marianas Visitors Authority’s Tour Guide Certification Program are available for public comment, according to an Aug. 7 release.
The regulations, drafted in consultation with related agencies and industry professionals, were published on July 28, in the Northern Mariana Islands Register for a 30-day comment period.
The program aims to ensure the quality of service, safety and care for the NMI’s visitors, and the proposal requires individual tour guides to provide police and traffic clearance and to complete MVA’s training course at Northern Marianas College and pass . . .
