MELEKEOK, Palau — Representatives of Sojitz Corp. and Japan Airport Terminal, together with the Palau Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Industries and Commerce on Aug. 7 signed the much-anticipated joint venture agreement, beginning the process of the Palau International Airport terminal project.
The agreement, signed at Palau’s Capitol Building, will allow the renovation, expansion and operation of the Palau International Airport. It is the first public-private partnership scheme in Palau.
The scope of work includes expansion and renovation of the terminal building, airport security screening equipment, baggage handling systems, airport . . .
