MAJURO, Marshall Islands — Majuro Stevedore and Terminal Co. is ramping up improvements at the main commercial dock in the capital to attract tuna cargo.
Construction work to compact, level and expand the holding area for refrigerated containers is underway by the local company. “We’re raising the ground level, compacting it and putting in a wall,” said Stevedore General Manager Charles Stinnett of the work now ongoing at the container yard.
Stevedore has been handling dozens of refrigerated containers for locally based fish processing companies Pan Pacific Foods and Marshall Islands Fishing . . .
