The Guam Plaza Resort & Spa is another step closer to becoming a full-service hotel with the opening of a business center on Aug. 21, said Sudipta Basu, general manager of the resort’s parent company, City Hill Co. (Guam). The business center is part of the resort’s ongoing upgrades to shift its business from travel agencies to target free individual travelers.
“Before, our business was 100% agent business but now the market has shifted and we’re [hosting] 40% online travelers — [online travel agency] business. For the OTA business . . .
