HONOLULU — Matson Inc. announced on July 26 that it will introduce biweekly direct U.S. flag service to the Marshall Islands. Starting in the first quarter of 2018, the service will deliver cargo from the U.S. West Coast to the Marshall Islands with a transit time of approximately two weeks, depending on the West Coast port, compared to three weeks or more with the current service from the West Coast via Guam. The service will call at Kwajalein, Ebeye and Majuro.
