WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs released $3 million in discretionary Compact Impact funding to Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, as well as Hawaii and American Samoa. Guam received $1.5 million. This funding is in addition to the mandatory $30 million provided to the affected jurisdictions to help with the costs of providing social services to migrants from the Freely Associated States of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau.  . . .
