HAGÅTÑA, Guam — Board members and staff of the Guam Contractors Licensing Board were chastised by members of the 34th Guam Legislature at an oversight hearing held on Aug. 2 by the Committee on U.S. Military Buildup, Infrastructure and Transportation.
The committee questioned the board about complaints made by the business community about the board’s processes for approving licenses and addressing complaints.
Complaints discussed in the hearing included:
- A Feb. 17 complaint filed by Thomas Tanaka, president of HSG Co. Ltd., about a contractor’s license issued to Shingo Kawashima of KPL Construction even . . .
