Unfinished business: Naval Base ship repair facility may transfer to GovGuam

Madeleine Z. Bordallo, Guam’s delegate to Congress, has a provision in the fiscal 2018 National Defense Authorization Act that seeks to change the ownership of some 49 acres of Naval Base Guam property.

If the provision is met, it will close a deal that fell apart more than two
decades ago.

The property in question is the former Naval Base Guam ship repair facility. 

After World War II, the U.S. Navy ran its own ship repair . . .
